Last week Nitel brought its new MyNitel mobile app to the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.  The Nitel staff delivered demonstrations of the new app to the show’s attendees to promote the convenience and time saving benefits of managing one’s network from a mobile device.

The app, which is available for free in the iTunes App Store, gives administrators of Nitel operated networks detailed information on the performance of their network.  Users can easily see from a location, node or interface level if there are trouble spots on the network.  They can also see if a trouble ticket has been opened for a particular problem and read all associated notes.  If a ticket has not been opened, users can initiate a ticket from their mobile device.

In addition to the network management functionality, users can also view their current and past invoices as well as initiate a ticket for any billing issues.

As the first of its kind, the MyNitel app gives CIOs and network administrators unprecedented mobile access to information while they’re on the go.
