Chicago, IL — December 19, 2014 — Nitel, a facilities-based provider of telecommunications network services, today was awarded a 2015 Visionary Spotlight Award.
The inaugural Visionary Spotlight Awards competition, put on by Beka Publishing and ChannelVision magazine, was created to honor outstanding products, services, and deployments across a variety of communications technology categories.
The nominations were judged based on a stringent set of evaluation criteria, highlighting overall innovation, as well as future industry impact of the nominated product or service; creativity and feature set differentiation; and ease of use and interoperability.
Nitel was awarded a Managed Service Enterprise Award for the first-of-its-kind MyNitel mobile app. The MyNitel mobile app allows CEOs, CIOs, and network Administrators unprecedented access to critical network data right from their mobile devices. The app offers a real-time network tool that clients can use anywhere wireless access is available.
The app allows clients to bring up a list of all locations on their network. From there, they can drill down into a location, a device, or even an interface on the device to view detailed performance statistics. With every click, a red or green light indicates whether there are issues at a location, on a device, or with an interface. And all information seamlessly integrates with the client’s MyNitel web portal. The MyNitel mobile app is a free service available to all Nitel clients.
