New Talent, New Technologies and New Go-to-Market Strategy Position Nitel and Its Channel Partners for an Exceptional 2018

CHICAGO – Jan. 2, 2018 – Nitel, a leading nationwide next-generation technology services provider, reported 2017 as a record year with annual revenues exceeding expectations and an all-time high number of engaged new agents and MSPs.

“2017 has been a year of positive change and game-changing opportunity for Nitel and our channel partners,” said Rick Stern, CEO, Nitel. “Our executive leadership and growing portfolio of high-performance solutions, including SD-WAN and SD-Security, has expanded our reach and relevance within the IT and telecom channels. Our Elite Partner program and channel-first strategy has driven us to exceptional growth and fostered more engagement from our partners.”

To fuel its success in 2017, Nitel made several strategic investments in talent, technologies and infrastructure. The top three included:

  • Key hires within its channel organization. In 2017, Nitel appointed Jason Dishon as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Dishon then hired Taylor Castranova as vice president of channel sales and account development, and Nate James as vice president of account management to build out a powerful, performance-driven team focused on partner success.
  • An expanded managed services portfolio and enhanced network. Nitel expanded its nationwide SD-WAN and SD-Security services in alliance with Versa Networks. Built for mid-market to large enterprises, the new offerings provide customers with application-centric management, greater network reliability and optimized performance over Nitel’s global managed public and private WAN services. More recently, Nitel upgraded its network infrastructure to support the growing demand for next-generation technologies including IoT, cloud and mobility solutions, with the addition of Cisco ASR 9900 series routers throughout its points of presence.
  • A greater emphasis on partner engagement. In Q3 2017, Nitel launched its Elite Partner Program. Open to Nitel’s top-performing master agents and distributors, the program provides dedicated partner support and business development resources including market development fund accrual and channel director alignment.

“We’ve invested across the board to bring greater business value and technical innovation to our channel partners and customers,” concluded Dishon. “It’s been a big year for Nitel. Expectations are high for 2018, and we’re ready to exceed them by helping our channel partners deliver a hybrid network businesses can rely on anytime, anywhere.”
