Chicago, IL [May 22, 2013] — Nitel, a Chicago-based provider of nationwide managed telecom services, has once again been named to Fortune magazine’s Inner City 100. The Inner City 100, as ranked by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), highlights the fastest growing inner city businesses in America. Nitel ranked 49 on this year’s list.
Nitel’s five year growth rate and involvement in the local community helped distinguish them from a list of over a thousand nominees. Firms selected to this list are recognized as catalysts for growth in our country’s urban communities.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized by the ICIC for the second time in three years,” CEO Rick Stern said. “Our focus has been to provide value to our clients through personalized customer care, innovative technology, and competitive pricing. We are committed to being a job creator in our community and a leader in our field.”
Initiatives like the expansion of their Nitel network have enabled them to cost-effectively serve both rural and metro areas. And with expanded product offerings, Nitel is poised for another year of strong growth.
