CHICAGO, April 11, 2022— Nitel, a leading next-generation technology service provider, announced today the appointment of Jim Glackin to the newly created position of executive vice president of channel sales. In his new role, Glackin will be responsible for all channel sales and support for Nitel with a goal of further expanding Nitel’s presence and delivering value to partners as part of the company’s “channel-first” growth strategy. He comes to Nitel from Masergy where he led their channel sales operations.

“We have seen remarkable success with the growth of our channel program,” said Mark Dickey, chief revenue officer for Nitel. “Through Jim’s experience, we look forward to even deeper alignment with our partners. He has the strategic thinking to create and evolve Nitel’s channel program to deliver better solutions and support to our partners. The sky is the limited and we are pleased to have him aboard.”

As Masergy’s senior vice president of global channels, Jim led Masergy’s channel sales strategy, developing and maintaining partnerships with leading organizations focused on IT service excellence. With more than 25 years of experience, he started his career at AT&T focusing on enterprise business partnerships followed by CenturyLink, where he served as vice president of strategic partners.

“I am very excited about this opportunity with Nitel,” Glackin said. “We have an opportunity to build on a strong foundation Nitel has built by doubling down on the channel and expanding our customer base through these strategic relationships. This new position shows a major executive level commitment to growing our channel through shared success and delivering world-class solutions to our customers.”

“As a premier network provider working to build a global presence, Jim’s appointment becomes all that more important as he systematically works with our partner program to expand our footprint and drive more demand for our services,” said Nitel CEO Margi Shaw. “His experience and strategic capabilities when it comes to channel development will be invaluable to us. We are extremely happy to have him join Nitel.”
