New Position Created to Put Weight Behind Nitel’s Business Focus on the Success of the Customer
CHICAGO – December 19, 2022— Nitel, a leading network-as-a-service provider, announced today the appointment of Michael Taylor as Senior Vice President of Customer Success, underscoring the company’s commitment to its differentiated customer experience. Taylor’s career has focused on customer experience, success, and operations, for over 20 years at AT&T, CareerBuilder and ClickDimensions, where he most recently served as Chief Customer Officer.
The Senior Vice President of Customer Success position is newly created to drive Nitel’s aggressive growth strategy and to further differentiate itself in an industry where Nitel had already been established as a leader, by way of several prestigious awards. In embracing customer success as a key business driver, Taylor will build upon Nitel’s Customer Success Model that gained traction late in 2021 when international private equity firm, Cinven, made a significant investment in Nitel after being attracted to the model’s contribution to the company’s aggressive growth.
“Nitel has experienced tremendous success by putting customers first in a way that much of our competition doesn’t,” said Mark Dickey, Nitel’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Michael has built his career around building practices, processes, and teams that deliver business value to customers beyond the basic functionality of the services they purchase. We are excited to build on our solid foundation, and Michael is just the person to lead us down that path.”
“I am very happy to be with Nitel because they clearly understand the business value of making customers successful,” Taylor said. “I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learned over the years to Nitel and ultimately helping Nitel stand out in the industry as a champion for the customer.”
Most recently, Taylor was Chief Customer Officer at ClickDimensions. Previously, he served as Vice President of Customer Success at Zycus and as Senior Director of Customer Success and Support at CareerBuilder, building out their initial Customer Success team. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Bucknell University and a Master of Business Administration from Emory University. Taylor also is credentialed as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
According to Dickey, this appointment is a continuation of our growth strategy that started late last year when Cinven made a significant investment in Nitel. “We continue to carry out our vision with strategic leadership hires,” he said. “We’ve added tremendous talent to the management team at Nitel across the board. Michael is our most important hire when it comes to customer success, and we are confident he will be a driving force in enhancing Nitel’s customer-centric culture.”
