On October 4th, Nitel employees participated in their fifth annual Nitel 5K Charity Challenge, benefiting Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.  Mercy Home provides life-changing programs and services to more than 600 troubled and hurting young men and women in Chicago every year.

Runners and walkers lined up under overcast skies at the south end of North Avenue Beach to complete the 3.1 mile course along the lakefront.  Data Manager Jerry Brennan took first place followed by Marketing Director Jason Borkowicz in second and Treasury Assistant Pay Raynor rounding out the top three.

Staff, with help from friends and family, raised $4,817, with Senior Manager of Provider Accounting Anna Klemm leading all participants with $1,060 in donations.

All funds help support Mercy Home’s efforts to provide solutions for at-risk youth in Chicago.  For more about Mercy Home and its work, click here.
