At Nitel, we have a smart, energetic and interesting group of people who make up our team. The unique set of experiences, skills and interests they each bring helps shape who we are as company. Chris Seeley, a regional channel director in the West region, brings 23 years of sales, 17 years of telecom and 7 years of channel experience to Nitel. We sat down with Chris to learn a little more about him.

  1. Can you provide a brief summary of your experience in the channel?
I started as a direct rep until I became an agent. I learned quickly how much our industry was starved for true consultants; individuals with the expertise and experience to become a true extension of each new client’s IT team.  Now on the carrier side it has been rewarding to be able to leverage the experience gained over the previous 7 years and being equal parts advisor, mentor, sales resource, and partner to each of the agents I have had the pleasure to work with thus far.
  2. What are three words you would choose to describe yourself?
    Creative, driven and competitive.
  3. And to describe working at Nitel?
    Exciting, challenging and humbling.
  4. What is most rewarding about your job?
Finding a solution where before one was not thought to exist.
  5. How do you define success?
Success to me means finding a goal, no matter how big or small, that really means something to me and then planning the steps to achieve that goal, implement the plan, and then finally when I do achieve that goal looking back and knowing I did so with integrity.
  6. Talk about something you’re passionate about outside of work.
I have a deep passion for the outdoors.  Hiking, climbing, snowboarding — you name it, I’m in. Much of what I do outside of work centers around creating opportunities for myself and others to be outside. Nothing beats the peace that comes with leaving the noise behind. As my brother says, the outdoors are “Where we began, where we belong.”
  7. Name one item on your bucket list.
    Summit Kilamanjaro
