On October 19th, Nitel employees participated in the fourth annual Nitel Charity Challenge, to raise money for Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.  Mercy Home provides critical, life-saving services to more than 650 hurting and troubled young women and men every year.

After the planned 5k run was cancelled due to inclement weather, Mercy Home kindly donated their sports field and gym for Nitel employee to use for the morning.  Employees took a respite from the office, and had fun playing touch-football and volleyball.

Employees raised over $3,400, with Account Relations Manager Maria Zehren leading all participants with $375 in donations.

Nitel owners Rick Stern and Ron Grason generously matched employee contributions, bringing the total to $6,816.  The money will go to help fund Mercy Home’s efforts to provide solutions for at-risk children in Chicago.
