Telecom industry veteran oversees Nitel’s fast-growing operations and vows to increase business efficiency through continuous process improvements and service excellence

 

CHICAGO – Jan. 15, 2018 – Nitel, a leading next-generation technology services provider, announced Mikail “Mak” Shomade as chief operating officer (COO). Shomade is an experienced leader in operations, planning and management with more than 20 years of telecom industry experience. He will work in conjunction with Nitel’s leadership team to develop and execute strategies for improving operational efficiency, increasing ROI and exceeding business goals.

Shomade joins Nitel from Everstream Solutions where he recently served as vice president of engineering, overseeing operations, planning and construction. Previously, he served as vice president of network strategy, engineering and operations for Birch Communications. Earlier in his career, Shomade held a succession of management positions with Cbeyond, which was acquired by Birch Communications in July 2014.
