New VP of Sales Ideal Fit to Lead Sales Expansion and Help Company Achieve $100 Million Revenue
CHICAGO [December 20, 2011] – Nitel, a nationally recognized provider of telecom network services, announced today that Kevin Weber has joined the company as its new vice president of sales.
Weber is responsible for leading Nitel’s sales organization, focused on executing Nitel’s growth strategy through its direct, wholesale and indirect sales channels.
“We believe Kevin is the right person to strengthen our sales efforts,” remarked Nitel CEO Rick Stern. “We have aggressive goals to grow the company to $100 million in revenue by augmenting our sales force nationally. Kevin brings the right combination of experience and expertise to help us achieve that goal.”
Ron Grason, Nitel’s chief operating officer, added, “Over the past year, we have expanded our products beyond MPLS, Ethernet, IP and private line to include competitive offerings for SIP trunking and network security. We’re confident that Kevin is the right guy to put these products into the hands of our clients.”
Kevin joins Nitel from Primus and Cbeyond where, for the past eleven years, he built both companies’ direct and indirect sales forces. As part of the original executive team at Cbeyond, he built the sales team from the ground up – including developing the commission structure, a sales training program and their initial product set – prior to the company’s initial public offering. Earlier in his career, Weber held sales and management positions at Intermedia Communications and Allnet/Frontier Communications.
