When you think of the leadership style of a typical U.S. Marine, you might imagine a my-way-or-the-highway order barker.
But if you ever meet Jason Dishon, you quickly understand that his method of rallying the troops is quite different. Jason has an uncanny knack for making people want to be their best and perform their best. He attributes his strong work ethic and leadership ability to his time in the Marine Corps. It’s that experience that provided the foundation to develop and grow teams, build strategic roadmaps and drive revenue.
As executive vice president of sales and marketing, Dishon leads Nitel’s sales, marketing and sales operation strategy and efforts. He is also working closely with the company’s leadership to advance Nitel’s employee and business development programs, expand distribution alliances and further enhance the partner and customer experience.
With more than 17 years of sales and marketing experience in the telecom industry, Jason joins Nitel from Windstream where he held several leadership positions within their channel sales organization, most recently serving as Channel Chief and Vice President of Channel Sales. Throughout his career, Jason has earned numerous Channel Chief of the Year awards and nominations. Jason worked for telecommunications provider, NuVox, in sales and operations until they were bought by Windstream.
Jason has taken his experiences as a Marine and developed a leadership style all his own. While we’re not charging up any hills, Nitel definitely has its sights set on some big goals. With Jason taking a leadership role, there’s no telling what we can achieve. Oorah!
