In the Wild West of the telecom business, speak boldly and wear a sharp pair of cowboy boots.
Just part of Ron Grason’s personal style. When he strides into a room – or anywhere – he’s usually following his instincts. That’s why we stick close behind him. It’s hard to match Ron’s creative energy and amazing ability to get things done.
Ron co-founded Nitel after gaining industry experience with Verio and Worldcom, where he handled client accounts from small businesses through Fortune 500 corporations. He developed a focus on providing complete customer and channel solutions, from infrastructure to connectivity, that remain integral to Nitel’s services today.
He continues to focus on industry trends and developments, keeping Nitel ahead of the curve in serving clients’ ever-changing needs. As president, Ron directs our product development, pricing, procurement and vendor management functions, leads network acquisition opportunities and holds executive-level accountability for business development and corporate strategy.
In 2012 Ron spearheaded the deployment of Nitel's nationwide IP network and the centralization of its network operations center. The move towards a facilities-based approach has given clients cost-effective access to connectivity services and has enabled the company to expand its cloud services offerings.
Ron earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Loyola University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Along with business partner Rick Stern, Grason was inducted into the University of Illinois at Chicago's Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2011.
If you can keep up with Ron, you’ll be laughing. His sense of humor is infectious; his smile, contagious. Maybe this is how the West was won.
