Opportunity Development Manager
Summary
This position is accountable for proactively calling regional companies to generate leads or to set appointments for the direct sales organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Makes outbound telemarketing calls.
- Contacts potential customers to pre-qualify for services, generate qualified sales leads and sets qualified appointments.
- Understands the Nitel story, product line, target client and is able to effectively apply that knowledge.
- Gathers and documents and organizes prospect and appointment information accurate efficiently.
- Communicates all scheduled appointments and changes to the sales representatives and management.
- Provides all accurate on time reporting to management.
- Follows established policies and procedures on selling techniques, customer relations and system documentation, including following a script and overcoming objections by the customer.
- Adheres to all policies, practices, and standards of the Company and our clients to ensure good order and discipline on the production floor.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university; 1-2 years telemarketing/lead generation experience;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a selection of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form.
